Technological Advancement: Embracing Change
We can kick at it as long as we want but, we were never meant to win
So, this woman read a story I told about using AI to generate essays instead of constructing one myself and down voted that idea. Talks about originality being threatened.
I wouldn't trash that opinion because, I love originality.
The woman is a Gen X and that also explains her dislike for modern technology.
Thing is, the world will soon be phasing out of that 'originality' and people will no longer stress their brains for tasks that AI can do with ease.
Painful as it might sound but, that's the reality.
My course mate recently used AI to build a web app in few minutes. All he needed to do was to use the right prompt and his App was ready.
We discussed on our Whatsapp group that day about the effect that Prompt Engineering has on modern programming.
Some companies no longer employ people that can build softwares through code, they employ those that can use Prompts to create softwares and stuff.
It is a wake-up call to those learning how to code - because one can be an expert programmer and lose his position to a prompt engineer.
Datacamp just renamed their App; adding AI as it's top course. That should tell you the direction the world is heading to.
We can kick at change but it can never go away. We only have one option; embrace it.
