It's been 55 years since man landed on the moon and the reactions to moon landing footages in recent years are the complete opposite of what they used to be 10 years ago - times when we worshipped Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and the rest of them.
What changed?
Information has been increasing incredibly fast in recent years and to a generation that is used to witnessing ground breaking technological advancements, questions are being asked rather than staring in awe.
The moon landing in 1969 generated more applause than questions when it happened and the United States relished that but now, we're here.
Today, people are not just asking questions, millions of theories are being made every single day. Stanley Kubrick isn't spared in the crossfire since he released “2001: A Space Odyssey” in 1968 - just a year before the moon landing.
Why?
We're now more afraid than ever of the possibility of being used as lab rats by those in power.
People don't want to be controlled so much by policies and set of rules. They don't want to be conditioned.
The Matrix
I can't explain this or… let me put it this way “it doesn't have a perfect explanation”.
Let me use the most famous example:
“Go to school, read, excel in your academics and get a job in an office”
That's the matrix and in the 20th century, very few people went outside of this matrix and succeeded. Yes, I'm talking about Bill Gates and his likes.
In the 21st century, millions of people no longer want to be where the existing system places them - we want more.
Anyone can be a founder of a startup.
Where do we go from here?
“Bullshit!” - the Zane family (TV Show - Suits)
That's my adopted reaction because we don't really know how it stretches out but we're going to be here to see and adjust.
If there's one thing we do know, it's that more glitches will occur and that still won't stop the powers that be.
